hey there fans, and or lost people stumbling through the web

a few things:

i DO in fact have a new job as a representative for a spirits company which will for legal and job security reasons remain unnamed. the scary thing is that mr. p got the job before i did. life imitates art i suppose. i have been driving across country training, hence why ‘into the red’ was interrupted a bit, it will wrap up this week, promise. i gladly welcome alexi wasser from imboycrazy to the ranks of subconscious spirit guides. she joins say anything frontman max bemis as a pop culture goddess who can give some unique insight to the gang.

there are big plans on the way for the gang and despite a new and more busy job i refuse to go the way of several of my close comic friends. i will gladly sacrifice quality for punctuality, and i pledge to not let work get in the way of getting SOMETHING up m-w-f for you folks. share with a friend, hit up our facebook, twitter, and inkoutbreak and keep reading

hey there mylittleworld-ers,

your friendly neighborhood creator here, just dropping in to realize that i haven’t posted news in waaaaaaaaaaay too long (as usual). i am terrible at doing news. nothing is really that interesting. my roommate moved out and i am alone, for realz’s, for the first time in my life. it’s pretty quiet and my bedroom just got bigger, now i have a studio/office so maybe i’ll get funnier, or better at drawing. who knows? I am also between jobs, since waking up at 2am and not getting paid on time did not jive well as a combo for me.

i start training on monday for craft distilling and tech. and hopefully i’ll be working in the booze biz soon enough. in the meantime i’ve brought walking hawking & robo-tyson back for another minor adventure and plenty more misadventures of mr. p on the way.

i’m looking for some pop culture blogs to bribe into some interviews. let me know if you or someone you know is interested in greased plams….

just wanted to take the time to give everyone an update from the site and facebook. monday will be my 300th issue of my little world and it never ceases to amaze me how much support i’ve received from friends and family… and alcohol.

seriously.

special thanks of course to all of my guest week contributors Jess Warren, Dave Pemberton and Michael Barrington for some freaking awesome strips. i really needed a week off and i think everyone else needed a week off from what’s going on in there.

with the 300th issue on its way we look toward the next 300 issues and what they hold, namely: more walking hawking and robo-tyson more bob and timmy and hopefully a little less webcomic-blog style of the illustrious mr. p and maybe some more adventures.

i still have a facebook, twitter, and a formspring for questions if you guys want to interact, otherwise just sit back and enjoy the crazy.

hey everyone,

another day in paradise as i am approaching 28hrs sans sleep. feeling good though, feeling good. I have been getting very wrapped up in the day to day of these storylines, and i think sometimes i forget that these guys once saved the earth from a giant meteor (almost 200 issues ago) and that in a garage somewhere is a steampunk airship named ‘the beluga.‘ part of this is because i’ve been wrapped up in my own personal struggles, and because my ever growing isolationist lifestyle is slowly eating away my contact, and consequently my humor source, with other people.

i should fix that.

i am hoping to return to a little bit of the absurd as the weeks progress. also i have a guest week to look forward to sometime early next month while i deal with valentines day comics. i also have to get a hold of the real-life ‘r.h.s.’ and get her to finish uploading those frickin back issues. i wanted to have them ready for my c2e2 application, but its looking more like i’ll be sitting at a table in a convention center by myself, while topataco, gordon mcalpin and others laugh derisively at me. maybe not worth the money, i can do that from twitter for free.

i think i might spend the afternoon doodling. maybe i’ll post some pictures, we’ll see.

well, at least my comics still go up on time, and in the end isn’t that what matters? this isn’t a blog, it’s a webcomic.

That being said, this is a webcomic, NOT a blog. I fielded a lot of calls about mr. p’s birthday issue. i take a lot of creative liberties with my life before i portray it here. currently, my life blows pretty hard, but even still it’s not that bad. my job has kept me working 2am-2pm all week, in a state of almost complete isolation. you know how people say “i am my own worst enemy?” well my job is the equivalent of being locked in a two man dodgeball game with nothing but my worst enemy and an emotional medicine ball.

that being said of course, mr. p’s beatings will continue until morale improves. i’ve watched scott pilgrim, forgetting sarah marshall, big fish, and the weather man so many times in a row, i’m amazed i haven’t burnt out this slump i’m in yet.

a few housekeeping notes for you readers:

-almost finished my C2E2 application for this year, so expect me sharing a table with either joeycheatsdeath or nickelbeer.net.

-my own dear friend the red headed slut came over and in exchange for booze, uploaded and organized about a hundred more back issues for you guys, so i’m almost ready to do the rest, or have her do them for me.

-i survived the first white christmas ever and hopefully the last. also it turns out i have a real life javier now too.

-oh yeah and it was two full years of my little world on the 17th.

really, that’s it. you keep reading, i’ll keep writing.

hey everybody,

just thought i’d take the time for a brief news update. as some of you may have noticed i am JUST now getting around to uploading back issues (sorry, work is kicking my butt). i will keep plugging along on those and i wont lie to you all with some sort of timetable, but it wont have any effect on the MWF updates.

a lot has been going on around me, but not so much with me. my work schedule (for those of you who dont know is M-F roughly 3am-3pm) is killing me. if not from lack of sleep, from an unhealthy amount of caffeine. work is starting to interfere with my drinking, and i aim to remedy this. since i quit smoking this summer, my vice tripod of sex, booze and nicotine is wobbling around on shaky leg… and in absence of a vice, my others seem to swell to fill the gap. however, i am in a relationship so indulging in copious nicotine-satisfying amounts of sex with multiple partners is frowned upon (apparently) and frankly if i wasn’t dating my wonderfully tolerant ladyfriend, i wouldn’t fare much better.

this leaves alcohol.

now, i’m not going to sit here and pretend that this isn’t a problem… i’m sure this is as unhealthy as eating microwaved gas station burritos in a nuclear reactor, but while i adjust to the lack of my old friend tobacco, maintaining a B.A.C. of 0.05% is crucial to not boiling over.

So there’s that.

I have back issues to upload, new videogames to play, judge and resent (in that order), i’m trying to tweet more in lieu of these rambly news updates. i have the aforementioned girlfriend now, who i only see once a week because she works normal-people hours and i am compiling this years winter-music playlist. manchester orchestra… is definitely on it this year.

well lookie here… a brand new site for your enjoyment. I am pleased as proverbial punch to bring you all a much neater and cleaner (at least on my end) mlwcomics.com. Many of you old fans will notice that 230 issues are missing… i know… i have to upload all of them in chronological order (and redraw some because im a moron) again. This process will take a few weeks, but It will be worth it when you can read all your favorite classics without scroll bars! also, if i do it correctly you can search comics by title as we go forward, share through stumble, facebook, reddit, and pretty much anything else and and and…

i’ll be adding a prequel/intro comic to the front of the stack at somepoint for new readers as well as new character bios and pictures.

now thats a whole lot of new.

so keep reading and i’ll keep drinking.
