About the Comic

my little world is an umbrella comic collection, which houses multiple strips of varying frequency:

the illustrious mr. p. is the main comic of my little world, featuring misadventures of a self absorbed, depressed, drunkard living in chicago.

mr. p, as he is known to the world, is one part willy wonka and one part willy lohman. a degenerate self-loathing alcoholic, who funnels his anxiety and depression into a life of adventure. quick to insult his roommate, and even quicker to cook a roast, he always leads the gang into some sort of trouble. also, he may or may not be very good friends with renee zellweger.

eugene “bowl-cut” coppedge friends with mr. p for several years, he clearly has a superhuman resistance to shennaniganary. often found at the butt-end of a joke, prank, or alien abduction, his zest for life is waning after years of adventure. now content to lay about the couch and hang out with his girlfriend, mr. p goes to great lengths to renew his sense of ‘fun.’ after a failed proposal to tim’s sister eugene leaves chicago to find himself leaving tim to fill the sidekick slot. will he ever return?

tim is one of the first friends mr.p and bowl-cut made in chicago. originally thought to be completely expendable by mr. p, he has proven himself more and more resilient since his initial abduction and torture by javier in the adventure compass saga. he is also karens big brother. after several years of being the #3, tim has risen, in bowl-cut’s absence to be mr. p’s #2.

karen is tim’s younger sister. growing up tim claims her sense of adventure forced him to be responsible all the time to balance out her troubled youth. she likes dancing, american apparel, interpol, and making life miserable for mr. p. although she attempted to make a deal with p to bring out eugene’s sense of adventure in exchange for her brother, only but mr. p seems to withhold trust from her. after a face to face with her younger self, karen makes a drastic move, rejecting euguene’s proposal, and sending him into a depressed exile.

cynthia is the attractive upstairs neighbor who spends almost as much time harassing her downstairs neighbors for favors as she does reminding them she wont ever sleep with them. she moved out a while back and has not been heard from since.

javier although little is known about javier’s origins, it is clear he has extensive military intelligence training. he is clearly well connected with all sorts of back alley dealings and apprently is greatly indebted to mr. p for reasons currently unkown.

30. at first, #30 was merely another in a long line of ideal women mr. p dreamed up… literally. she exists only in dreams and represents mr. p’s deepest desires, ideals, and fears. quick to take mr. p down a peg, or provide valuable perspective we still know little about her.

the red headed slut. as her name suggests, she spends much of her time perched on a bar stool looking to score some strange. low self esteem, pale complexion and red hair she drinks like there’s no tomorrow and tim is convinced she’s his girlfriend.

carmen santiago. carmen is mr. p’s on again off again ex-girlfriend, not to be confused with the globe trotting crimial, she is almost just as insidious… at least that’s what bowl-cut thinks. whether good or evil, she’s probably pretty evil.

clark campbell. clark used to work at the LEGO store with mr. p before he and mr. p opted for less degrading employment. a solid wingman and a mediocre magician. clark is always worth a laugh or two when he goes out. also, he has really ‘swoopy’ hair.

mr. p’s family. mom never stands up to dad. dad expects too much of mr. p. twin (although slightly chubby) brother is too successful. brothers fiancee is too freakin’ hot. all around inflated expectations growing up helped sew seeds of disappointment for early adulthood.

bob and timmy is a series based on a fictional friendship between robert smith (lead singer of the cure) and tim burton (of nightmare before christmas, edward scissorhands etc fame) and all of their wacky dark antics. who ever could have imagined a bond so strong between two stars.

walking hawking & robo-tyson is a series which most likely needs the most explaining. so lets start with the multiverse. if multiverse theory is correct, then there exist an infinite number of parallel universes in which every possible outcome to every situation is happening. based on this wild assumption, and a night of drinking. i began to imagine an alternate dimension where stephen hawking (theoretical cosmologist and quantum gravity fan) was never stricken with illness, and where neil degrasse tyson (dir. hayden planetarium, auth. death by black hole, framed for the murder of pluto, and all around charming astrophysicist) has a bionic “swiss army-arm” built by the engineers of the large hadron collider. together, they fight the forces of evil with help from various other scientific minds all in the pursuit of a new tomorrow and a better today.
